HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG FOR CLOTHING:

Dog Clothing Size Guide

  • Take 1 tape measure and 1 dog.
  • Measure from the base of the neck (x) to the base of the tail (y) and record the cm or inch measurement (See diagram above).
  • Choose a coat or pullover that most closely matches the size that you have recorded.
  • Please note that as many of our coats and pullovers are handmade, the size may vary slightly.

 

 

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG FOR A COLLAR:

Dog Collar Measurement Guide 

  • Take 1 tape measure and 1 dog.
  • Measure around the base of the neck, insert a couple of your fingers for comfort and record the cm or inch measurement (See diagram A above).
  • Our collar sizes are given in ranges, measuring from X (the smallest possible size when fastened) to Y (the largest possible size when fastened) - see diagram B above. We suggest that you choose a collar where the neck size of your dog is between the two measurements.
  • Please note that as many of our collars are handmade, sizing may vary slightly.
  • Z is the collar width.  You will need to note this when you choose a lead to match.  Once you have selected the correct collar size for eg: 28-34 x 2cm, then the correct matching lead should be a 2cm width.

 

 

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT LEAD TO MATCH A COLLAR

  • When choosing a lead to match a collar, the width of the collar should correspond to the width of the lead.  For eg: if a collar measures 28-34 x 2cm, then the correct matching lead should be a 2cm width. 
  • It is important you choose the correct width of lead to balance the weight of the matching collar.

 

 

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG FOR A HARNESS

Harness Size Guide
  • Take one tape measure and one dog
  • Measure around the circumference of your dog's body, behind the front legs, insert a couple of your fingers for comfort and record the cm or inch measurement (See diagram above).
  • Our harnesses are adjustable from X (the smallest possible size when fastened) to Y (the largest possible size when fastened). We suggest that you choose a harness, where the chest size measure of your dog fits between X and Y.
